World Class Positivity - Start where You Are
Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can. – Arthur Ashe
The thought for today is remarkably short, but the importance of this message can not be overstated. Far too often, people recognize the need for change in their lives and want to take steps towards improvement. But, it turns into an “all or nothing” proposition. Start working out 5 times a week, throw all the junk food in the house out the window, go to bed in time to get 8 hours of sleep, and on and on it goes. Sadly, this often results in them just giving up when these lofty goals are not met. Try instead to take small, positive steps towards better health at first. For example, getting to the gym during the week might be challenging for some, due to work and/or family commitments. So, maybe start by vowing to get a good workout in on Saturday or Sunday, and then just ONE day during the week - maybe Tursday, Wednesday or Thursday. Remember, your journey is not a sprint. Start slow, and let these little steps gain momentum when you are able to acheive these beginning goals.
Good luck - please let me know what you think!!
